What Our Clients Are Saying

Vic and Liz Versino are not your typical new homebuyers. Having moved several times (including London, England) they have experienced home buying from preexisting to Custom building. Through all these home buying experiences, they have learned the important aspect of how you live in a home is what drives your choices when it comes to designing a home. Working with the design and construction staff at Cranes Pond and architect Arnie Bunkely, Vic and Liz designed a one of a kind 5,633 square foot ranch that is a showpiece in Cranes Pond. From the entrance to the back deck, the house resonates with distinction.
“We wanted to be on the water and we wanted our home to feel like we were on retreat from work and the pressures of today’s living” says home owner Vic Versino. "To Vic and me, our home had to be able to bring the fantastic nature of Cranes Pond into every room in our house,” says wife Liz. One walk-thru their home and you would whole-heartedly say “mission accomplished”!

The entranceway immediately gives you a view of Cranes Pond from the moment you enter the house. Their back deck continues this theme. Sitting on a back deck chair enables outside living and water views that bring the wildlife of Cranes Pond right into their back yard. Inside they continued this theme with stone and beamed great room that is adjacent to a barreled vault in dining room. The master bath includes a freestanding cast iron tub and the downstairs houses two teenagers, giving everyone plenty of privacy while they each enjoy Cranes Pond in their own living space.
All of these home touches of the Versino's home are example of why collaboration during the building process is so important. The interaction between client, builder and architect produced a home filled with custom details and quality craftsmanship. A home that is elegant, eye-catching, charming and livable. The attention to detail by all of the parties created nuanced features that keep the eye interested no matter where it looks in the home. Says Vic, “we looked at this as a collaborative effort between the builder, the designer and the architect. We knew where our priorities were on the outside and inside elements of our home and with Liz and me agreeing on those elements it much easier to maintain our budget (except for that cast iron tub referenced earlier)."
Just as importantly, the Versino house "fits" in the neighborhood. Their home blends effortlessly into the environment. The master planning aspect of the community provides a seamless sense of continuity between land and homes that makes the community look like it as been there for years.
